Stampin' Royalty Color Challenge

This week Stampin' Royalty brings us a color challenge.   The colors this week are:   Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler and Meadow Moss.    I don't know if you are like me, but I think I am finished with Christmas projects.    So when I saw the colors I knew I wanted to think outside the box and come up with a card that was not holiday inspired.

Mixing it up

 So 2014 is coming to an end and I decided to take a few days to play with some of the things that have been gather dust it my craft closet.    I wanted to make a wedding card to add to my supply that is being sold at The Fine Grind.   I just love the neutral palette in the Under The Tree Specialty Designer Series Paper.   The paper is just beautiful.   I love the designs.    Some of the designs are totally for the holiday season, but then are some that are perfect for you all occasion cards.     So here it is used as a background for my wedding card paired up with embellishments from the retired Artisan embellishment kit.    If you love the Under the Tree Specialty paper as much as me, you will want to check out the clearance rack.  Until January 5th is now on the clearance rack for only $5.19 for 12 sheets.

I was completely drawn to this week's Pals Paper Arts sketch.   It must be the arrows.   When I saw the circles in the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper, I just knew they were a good fit for the sketch.

This week's Inkredible color challenge is: Baked Brown Sugar and Gold.   I decided to Case the Catty challenge for this week's project.    The 2014-15 Catalog is full of inspiration.    Just open the pages and start caseing.   Case the color combination, the sketch or the entire card.   On the corner of page 33, there is a card that I wanted to sketch.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!    Hope everyone has a great day with the family and friends.

Here is a mix of some old, some new and some favorites.    I love the Expression Thinlits from last year's holiday mini.   What can I say I am word girl.   Here it is paired up with the Good Greetings stamp set and  I have to say they work perfectly together.   I picked up these great enamel dots at a local craft store and they were a perfect match to my card.

Joy Home Decor


It's Christmas Eve, hope everyone is ready.   Hope your holiday cards are sent and your gifts are wrapped and under the tree.    When I put my Christmas decorations up, I found that I needed a little something to put in the kitchen.    So here is my joy Santa home decor item.    The Santa is completely made with punches.   The sparkle in my Santa was made by apply a two way glue pen and then sprinkling some glitter.   The J and Y came by tracing the letters from retired chipboard and then cutting them out.

How great is the Mingle all the Way stamp set.   The Happy Holiday stamp is just perfect for chalkboard or even color in.    Here is colored in and paired up with the beautiful designer paper, Nordic Noel.

Here are some old favorites from last year's catalog as well as from the Holiday Mini.    If you are like me you purchase the Tag It stamp set and then you found you really didn't quite make as many projects as you would have like to with it.  

Here is Santa from the set.    I took the Just Sayin' stamp set and just colored in the word bubble border and then stamped the Ho, Ho, Ho from the retired Oh Goodie stamp set.

One Layer Card

This week's Stampin' Royalty has brings us a one layer card challenge.   Once I got the idea in my head of what I wanted the card came together pretty quickly.    The first thing I did was put down a post it notes on the sides of the card.    This help me create a border.

Year-End Closeouts

Year End Closeouts are happening right now. Over 120 items on the clearance rack. Lots of holiday products, dies, stamp sets, designer series paper and Project Life cards. There are even products from the current Holiday mini.

Casing the Catty and Inkredible Color Challenge

My Favorite Holiday Mini stamp set

This week at Stampin' Royalty we are asking everyone to pull out their favorite stamp set and create with it.    I have many stamp sets that I absolutely love, but I have to say I keep picking up the Festival of Tree stamp set for my holiday creations.    How great is this stamp set.    This  I have to say using crumb cake with white is slowly becoming a favorite combination of colors.
