Paper Crafter's Library

Very Exciting, one of my cards was featured on the Tuesday Trend on Paper Crafter's Library.    Tuesday Trend featured paper straws.    How fun are paper straws!  

Here is my Make a Wish card that was featured on the site.      I turned my paper straws into candles with a string of baker's twine!

June Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking!!!

Very Exciting!!!   The June Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking is out and on page 80 you can see my Don't Stop Believin' card!!! 

It is one of my favorite songs and I am so happy that they choose my card to be published.   

Paper Crafts is amazing.   Every edition they publish I am floored by the talent that is showcased in their magazines and their website.

Inkredible Color Challenge

This week's Inkredible color challenge is:   Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding and Strawberry Slush.     I knew I wanted to do a rainbow color card with these colors.    Rainbows make me thinking of you cards to cheer someone up.    It was perfect for this month's Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking gallery challenge which is Get Well Cards.

Event Display Stampers

Stampin' Up! is searching for event display stampers for the 2014 annual Convention!!!!

The event display stampers have the privilege of inspiring thousands of Convention goers with projects made with products from the 2014-15 Idea Book and Catalog on the convention display boards.

To be considered for three cards, one scrapbook page and two 3D items need to be collected or created.

I decided to try my hand and submit my projects for the honor of being an 2014 event display stamper.    I did a mix of creating as well as collecting for my submission.

After looking through my blog posts the last couple of months, here are three of my favorite projects that I have collected to submit.

Here is a polaroid valentine banner.   All you need to do is just add pictures!

Here are the three projects I created to submit.   It gave me a chance to play with some amazing products from the Occasions Mini.    Not to mention the retiring ABC-123 Outline Alphabet & Numbers that I am very sad is leaving us!
For my scrapbook page, I decided to feature my little nephew Jacob.  It is my first of I am sure many scrapbook pages that will have this new addition to my family.

For my last 3D project I found these great frames in a local store and decided to dress it up and put a sentiment to make me smile and remind me to shine!    I made a sunburst stencil by cutting triangle into a center of card stock.   Once that was done all I needed to do was sponge on some ink.

This week's Inkredible color challenge is:  Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder, Blushing Bride and Daffodil Delight.    So since Lucky Limeade is not current, I decided to change it out with Pistachio Pudding. 
The best part of the card is using up retired designer series paper!   I went to my scrap bin and just pulled some old scraps to finish off the card.

Great Retro Sketch

 I just absolutely love this week's Retro Sketch.   I always wanted to do a triangle card and I get to do it with this week's sketch.   It is also perfect for this month's Fiskateers challenge which is to Back to Basics with only using our paper trimmers as a tool.   I cheated a little with my rounded corner.   I just can't seem to stop doing that!

Sweet Baby Boy

I knew buying the Baby We've Grown set from the Occasions Mini would come in handy!  Here is a gift bag I made for my cousins.   They just had a beautiful baby boy!    He is just gorgeous!      I went through my scrap bin and found these great shades of blue and incorporated them into my gift bag and coordinating gift card.

Stamping Royalty

This month's Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking crowned their 2014 Stamping Royalty.   I worked really hard and submitted a few cards to the contest.  Unfortunately, I did not win.   I have to say it was a challenge to get down to the basics and primarily focus the card on just stamping.    It was not an easy challenge.

Here is the first card I came up with.  It was by far one of my favorites.

First Communion Card

Here is this week's My Favorite Things sketch.   I can't believe my beautiful niece is going to making her first communion this year.   When I got the Dress Up Framelit, I knew I wanted to try my hand at making a First Communion dress with it.    So her is my dress.  I used some tulle to make a veil.     The collar on the dress was made with 1" circle punch and then trimmed.

This week Stampin' Royalty brings us a color challenge.   The colors are beautiful spring colors, Peach Parfait, Strawberry Slush, Wisteria Wonder and So Saffron.   They just screamed out to me to make an Easter creation. 

Here is my gift tag all ready to be put on Easter goodies.     Since I wanted to get the right size for the sentiment on the tag and none of my stamps felt right, I printed the sentiment on my computer.

April Workshop

Who doesn't need more birthday cards on hand.     This month's workshop is all about birthday cards!   Come to my workshop and learn how to heat emboss, sponge and paper pierce and go home with 3 cards.

Workshop Fee:  $12
