Last Day of the Year

Well can you believe 2010 is coming to an end! It has definately been eventful. It has been a mix of good and bad. I am looking forward to 2011 and everything it has to bring. One of my goals is to end with the year being caught up with my Inkredible color challenges. I have to say I was able to complete all 52 weeks of challenges. So here is the last color challenge of the year: Rose Red, Chocolate Chip and Sahara Sand.

I decided to use a retired stamp set paired up with a new one from the Occasions Mini.

Paper: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper

Ink: Rose Red and Always Artichoke

Catching up with Color Challenges

I am ending the year on catching up with Inkredible color challenges. Here is the first one I missed. The colors are: Bravo Burgundy, Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla and Cameo Coral. I substituted Cameo Coral with Pretty in Pink. It is very subtle but I used Pretty in Pink for the background behind the floral.

I have to say I am loving the way this card came out. Even better no designer series paper was used for this card, I stamped one of the background images from the Charming stamp set to stamp the background. Don't you just love the word Friend, it comes from the You're the Gem stamp set that is available in the new Occasions Mini. Don't worry you can get things from the Occasions Mini come January 4th! Only a few more days!
So here is the card and the ingredients to make it:
Stamp Sets: You're a Gem, Charming
Ink: Always Artichoke, Bravo Burgundy
Paper: Bravo Burgundy, Always Artichoke and Very Vanilla
Accessories: Always Artichoke Seam Binding, Gold Brads, Antique Brads
Tools: Border Punch from a local craft store

Cute Little Holiday Aprons

I just couldn't resist making these cute little aprons to put some holiday treats. I made them to hang as gift tags on baskets, gift bags and to put on top of presents. I was totally inspired by this blog post and these fabulous holiday aprons.

The only thing I changed is that I did not make a special insert for the apron. I was in mass production mode, so I just glued a piece of designer series paper to the entire top side of the apron and just cut the top of the apron shape. For the bottom instead of cutting an extra 4.25" x 2" and attaching it to the front. I actually increase the pattern by another 2" and then folded the bottom up and stapled right where the bows covered up to make the pocket.

Here is my version and the ingredients to make it:
Stamp Sets: Sweet Season, Got Treats
Ink: Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso
Paper: Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper, Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler
Accessories: Bravo Burgundy Grosgrain Ribbon
Tools: Wide Oval Punch, 3/4" Circle Punch, Crop-a-dile, Tasteful Trim Sizzex, Big Shot, Stapler
