Mojo Monday

One holiday down and another one on it's way. I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving. We still have a fridge filled with leftovers, how does that happen! I guess our eyes are bigger than our actual belly. I also started my Christmas decorating. So the tree is up and all the trimmings!

Inkredible Color Challenge

This week's Inredible Color Challenge is Really Rust, Sage Shadow and Mellow Moss. I decided to use my bird chipboard finally for this challenge. It's been sitting on a shelf for a few months. I got the inspiration from a new thing that will be in the occasions mini come January 1st. I won't say what it is, but I have to say it is awesome.

Ingredients to make the project:

Ink: Really Rust, Chocolate Chip and Mellow Moss

Paper: Chocolate Chip and Outlaw Designer Series Paper (retired), Mellow Moss

Accessories: Chocolate Chip Corduroy Buttons

Tools: Boho Blossom and Scallop Circle Punch, On Board Tweet, Big Shot, Naturally Serif, 5/16" Chocolate Chip Jumbo Brad, Sizzlet, QuickCuts Board and Sizzex Swirl that I got a local craft store, Cutting Mat, Hobby Knife, Stamping Sponges, On Board Chipboard, Crafts Scissors

Special Touches: I attached the designer series paper on chipboard bird and then for the big piece I was able to cut around it. The smaller wing, I cut around with my hobby knife. The beak and the legs I sponged on ink. The legs I trimmed with my craft scissors they were a little too long for the project. I attached some mellow moss card stock on chipboard and then ran it through the Sizzex for the swirl. I sponged the edge of the Quick Cuts with Mellow Moss ink and then adhered the designer paper on top in the center. Using my Craft Scissors, I cut the fastner portion of the brads and attached the corduroy buttons with mini glue dots.

Twin Boys

Good friends of mine just had twin baby boys. Here is a card I made with the Manchester designer series paper. That's two days in a row of this paper. I have to say it is one of my favorites. I love the soft plaids in this retired paper pack.

Ink: Close to Cocoa, Baja Breeze

Paper: Manchester designer series paper (retired), Close to Cocoa, Whisper White

Accessories: Corduroy Chocolate Chip Buttons

Tools: Big Shot, Simple Letter Sizzex, Circles #2 Sizzex

Special Touch: The boat was stamped twice, once in Close to Cocoa and then another time in the retired Baja Breeze. I cut out the triangle and glue them on top of the Close to Cocoa and then I took another piece of the Manchester paper and cut out another triangle and attached. The greeting was attached with dimensionals.

Homemade House Warming Gift Bag

No homemade house warming gift is complete without a homemade gift bag. I used a few retired designer paper in this project.

Fall Shadow Box

Over the week I went over my little cousin's new place. I wanted to make her a special housewarming gift. So her she is with her sweetie.

Ingredients to make the project:

Stamp Set: Always

Ink: Classic andCraft Chocolate Chip

Paper: Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Autumn Meadows Designer Series Paper

Accessories: Chipboard, Very Vanilla Buttons (retired), Chocolate Chip Wide Grosgrain Ribbon and Chipboard letters from a local craft store

Tools: Sponge Dauber, Big Shot, Leaves #2 Sizzex, Modern Label punch, Scallop Punch and Leaves punch from a local craft store

Special Touch: I diecut the leaves with my chipboard and Sizzex. Then chipboard letters, the diecut leaves and the punched leaves I sponged on Craft Chocolate Chip Ink. The greeting was stamped, punched and attached with dimensionals. The punched leaves were also attached with dimensionals. The tailored bow finishes the project.

Holiday Lounge and Two Cool Dudes

Here is the Cool Dude all in Red. I pulled out a retired holiday greeting set for this card.

Special Touch: The snowman and the greeting was attaced to the card with pop-up glue dots. The snowflake was attached with a dimensional.

Inkredible Color Challenge

Well this week's color challenge is: Blush Blossom, Close to Cocoa and Ruby Red. The Blush Blossom is very lightly used in the in the hearts in the Wandering Words image. I pulled out some retired DSP for the challenge, Candy Cane.

Holiday Treat Jar

Well I am never one to step away from a challenge. I was just talking to a friend of mine and she asked me for an idea for putting candies in Mason Jar. So off to my stamp room I went and came up with this idea. I have to say I lovin' this idea. It may be the holiday gift I give out to co-workers this year.

Ingredients to make this project:

Stamp set: Lot of Thoughts (retired Sale-a-bration set from last year)

Ink: Real Red

Paper: Real Red, Whisper White

Accessories: Real Red Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon, 5/16" Jumbo Brads, Jingle Bells from a local craft store, Hemp Twine

Tools: Jumbo Snowflake punch, Big Shot, Sizzex Circle #2, Paper Piercer and Tag Sizzex I also purchased at a local craft store.

Special Touch: The tag was attached first to the rim of the jar with dimensionals. Then I wrapped ribbon around the jar. I tied the bells onto the ribbon first with Hemp Twine and then tied the knot in the ribbon to hide the twine. The words were cut out and attached.

Mojo Monday #112

Autumn Congratulations

I was inspired by this week's Pal Paper Arts Challenge and the Taken with Teal and Basic Gray combination. I decided to add in some Really Rust to make a congratulations card for my brother.

Special Touch: The leaf was cut out from the Autumn Meadows designer series paper. Dusty Durango Ribbon was adhered to the card. The really rust button was attached with a mini glue dot to the center of the bow. Leaf punches were attached to the card with dimensionals.

Halloween Mini Brag Book

Well here is a little mini brag book I made for my family with the kids Halloween pics! I love this Sizzex that I got that makes brag books.

Another Inkredible Challenge

I am really keeping on top of this week's challenges! Here is the Inkredible Color Challenge for this week: Sage Shadow, Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip. Some Creamy Caramel was sneaked in from the retired Outlaw designer series paper. I can't believe I pulled out this paper twice in the last week and how great it looks with Christmas cards, who would have known!

Special Touch: The greeting was stamped on a white paper and punched out with the Modern lable punch which I tucked half under the card stock. The snowflake was attached with a Stampin' Dimensional.

Special Touch: Trees were stamped and then cut out and attached with Stampin' Dimensionals. The corner of the Ruby Red was folded up and crinkled and a button was attached. The ribbon was adhered and then a bow was tied and attached with a glue dot.

Kaleidoscope and Sunny Day

I have to say after making this card, I do like the Tempting Tuquoise and Old Olive combo. I wasn't sure at first, but I am happy with the results. I also finally got to use the Kaleidoscope designer series paper. I think this is my first project with this paper pack.

Simple Card

Here is a simple and clean card using the textured impressions embossing folder.

Paper: Whisper White, Ruby Red, More Mustard
Accessories: Earth Elements Brads
Tools: Big Shot, Stampin' Up! Elegant Bouquet Textured Impressins Embossing Folder and Eyelet Border Punch

Paper Pals Arts Challenge

This week's Paper Pals Arts Challenge is anything pink for Breast Cancer Awareness.

Here is my card and the ingredients to make it:

Stamp Set: Flight of the Butterfly

Ink: Pretty in Pink and Basic Black

Paper: Pretty in Pink, Basic Black, Whisper White and Night & Day Specialty Designer Series Paper

Accessories: Basic Black Wide Grosgrain Ribbon and Black Brads

Tools: Big Shot, Stampin' Up! Texturz Plates Perfect Details, Scallop Edge Punch and Butterfly Punch

Special Touch: I stamped the pink part of the butterfly then the inside body, I used my Stampin' Write Marker to stamp the inside. Then I used my Butterfly punch and punched out the night and day specialty paper. I attached the overlay with a mini glue dot. As for the ribbon, I adhered a strip of basic black under the butterfly image and then I tied a bow and attached it with a mini glue dot.

Mojo Monday #110

For this week's Mojo Monday, I went with a Monochromatic Holiday Card.

Ingredients to make the card:
Stamp Sets: Christmas Greetings, Patterned Pines
Ink: Garden Green, Old Olive
Paper: Merry Moments Designer Series Paper, Old Olive, Garden Green, Whisper White
Accessories: Silver 5/16 Jumb Brads, Wide Old Olive Grosgrain ribbon
Tools: Big Shot, Circle Scissor Plus, Scallop Circle #2 Sizzex and Scallop Punch from a local craft store

Special touch: The trees were stamped and cut out and attached with dimensionals. I used my Stampin' Write Marker to color in the Merry and then I stamped it, then I cleaned the stamp off and the colored in the Christmas and stamped the rest of the greeting.

November Open Workshop
