Love Scrapbook Page

I have a confess when working on this week's color combo. I really thought the paper read pretty in pink, bravo burgundy and chocolate chip. So I started pulling together the colors and I got inspired to do a scrapbook page with me and my niece especially when I saw the polka dot chocolate chip patterns designer paper along side the pretty in pink. So here is the page. The title comes from the Serif Essentials Sizzex alpahabet and the heart also Sizzex comes from the Hearts set. I then proceeded to make a few more hearts with my Big Shot, popping up a few of them with Stampin' Dimensionals. The finishing touches on the page were the scallop edge made with my slit punch, strips of chocolate chip and bravo burgundy card stock, wide grosgrain chocolate chip ribbon and pretty in pink buttons.

Get ready for Thanksgiving

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is only 3 days away. Where did the time go. Here is a card and a gift tag that I made. Both started out with leaves made with the Big Shot, Juntos Designer Series paper and Leaves #2 Sizzex die. The greeting comes from the Holidays & Wishes stamp set. The finishing touches on the card and tag are the scallop edge and the natural button. The tag I made the slit on top by punching the horizontal slit punch twice. I pulled a piece of twill tape through and ties it with linen thread to keep in place.

Color Challenge For This Week

Here is this week's color challenge. Pretty in Pink, Bravo Burgundy and Always Artichoke. I pulled the Patterns Designer Series Paper pack for the background. I colored in the flowers from the Upsy Daisy stamp set with my Stampin' Write Markers. I then punched out the circle with my EK Success jumbo circle punch, followed with a Coluzzle Circle in Artichoke and then the last layer was the Sizzex Circle #2 scallop die made with my Big Shot. The finishing touches was the buttons, the strip of pretty in pink and the scallop edge.

Sizzex Snowflake Gift Ideas

Here are some gift ideas I've been busy making for the holidays. The first one is a shadow box made with the Sizzex Snowflake #2 and the the Join in the Cheer Decorative Stip Die. I cut both the snowflake and the word Joy with my White Vinyl that is one of raw materials we sell that along side the Big Shot. I then placed both die cuts on the shadow box. I put a half back pearl in the center of the snowflake for a little bling. On the inside I glued some trimmings I found in Michael's. The back of the shadowbox, I put a piece of Holiday Treasures designer series paper.

Next I decorated a Jiffy Pop popcorn container. If you look closely there is a pocket and that is where I will be putting a Blockbuster gift card. I first trace the Jiffy Pop container on a piece of Frosty Day designer series paper. Next I made a die cut with my Snowflake and Big Shot with Kiwi Kiss card stock. I attached the Snowflake to the paper with my 2 way glue pen. Next came Mr. Twigster, I stamped and colored him and punched him out with my 1 3/8" circle punch and attached him with my Stampin' Dimensionals. I stamped the word Happy Holidays from the retired Mini Mates stamp set. Everytime I think I can part with this set, I realize how many great greetings are in the set and I always happy when I have an occasion to use the set. Next, I put the white card stock and attached to a piece of chocolate chip card stock. I lined the sides and the bottom of the chocolate card stock with sticky strip to make the pocket to put the gift card. The gift card insert is a piece of Chocolate Chip card stock that I decorated the top with. I made the pull tab by just punching the top half of the large tag punch and putting a vintage brad through the center with strips of Whisper White and Kiwi Kiss. The finishing touch was the wide chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon adhered to the designer series paper as well as knot tied to the handle. Hope these two gift ideas inspire you to make some homemade goodies for your family and friends.

So I am going to share with you two other cards I made that are similiar to the the ones you have seen on Stamper's Showcase already just to show how one card idea can be done with just by changing up a little bit.

The top of the page has Chocolate Chip Patterns Designer Series Paper, a strip of wide Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon, a strip of Bravo Burgundy card stock and a scallop edge I made with the slit punch. This Week's Color Challenge

I have to say I love this week's color challenge. It is Creamy Caramel and Bravo Burgundy. I pulled out Brocade Basics which I just got. I don't know why I waited so long to get it. It is a beautiful set and it becoming one of my fast favorites. This was the first time in a long time that stamping just the image was enough for me. I can't remember the last time I did a card with just one layer and I have to say it is just gorgeous the results. So here is the first card paired up with Sincere Salutations and natural button. What a great set to make note cards with.

I decided to jazz it up a little and make another version and this time I teared a piece of Creamy Caramel. I added some pewter eyelets and tied some taffeta ribbon.

Halloween Scrapping Continues

Here is my Halloween scrapbook page with my niece and my nephew in it. Michael is a little monkey and Julie is a witch. I started with a piece of Really Rust textured card stock. On the sides I put strips of Bravo Burgundy and Chocolate Chip. I really love the color combo in this page. I stamped images Halloween Frights stamp set, cut them out and layered them on a piece of Chocolate Chip. The title I made the chipboard H with some chipboard coasters and some textured Chocolate Chip card stock. The rest of the title I stamped from the Schoolbook Serif stamp set. Spooky Halloween

Here's the 2nd part of the gift that I made for my friend. I just love how her two little ones are Batman and Batgirl. I made a scrapbook page to put inside a black frame that I got a while back in Michael's to give to her. I stamped the word spooky with my Lovely Letters. Then on the bottom I stamped images from the Batty for You stamp set. I punched things out with my 1" circle punch and layered on top of the 1 3/8" inch square punch. Then used my Stampin' Write marker and stamped images on to 1 1/4" inch square punches and layered them on top of 1 3/8" square punches. A strip of black card stock, a photo corner punch and black buttons finish the page off.

Halloween Scrapping

I am so excited I was able to fit in some scrapbooking time. Here is a little mini album I made for my friend. She sent me all these great pictures and I thought I should make her a little brag book to carry around of her two little ones.

First applied Old Olive card stock to a piece of chipboard with my glue stick on the top and the bottom. Glue sticks work best with applying paper to chipboard. After that I ran the chipboard and card stock through my Big Shot with the Scallop #2 Sizzex die. The best part of putting the card stock on before hand, no need to cut and sand. You have a beautiful finish to your chipboard Sizzex die. I repeated the steps again for the bottom of my mini album. For the inside pieces I cut just plain scallop circles with the Big Shot. For the ones inside, you can cut the pictures out with your Coluzzle cutting system and attach them to the inside.

The front cover. I stamped the bats from the Batty for you stamp set, I cut them out and attached them with dimensionals. I stamped the greeting from the Halloween frights stamp set. To make it easier trimming the words, I punched them out with my word window punch and then cut out the words I needed. I then stamped the stars & swirls from the set. I used my Stampin' Write markers to color them in, so it stamped the two colors. Then I added a black button. To get the two shape circles. For the white circle, I punched it out with my mega punch that I got from AC Moore. It is a 2 3/8" punch. I have to say I love this punch. Then the eggplant envy layer, I cut out with the Coluzzle.

Next, I used my crop-a-dile to punch holes through the card stock and the chipboard covers. I then put on the key ring that I got in Staples. I tied a piece of Old Olive wide grosgrain.

Thinking of coming to my class tonight, we'll you can make this instead of the pumpkin version of this mini album. There is still room open for tonight's class. If not RSVP for the 17th and you can make this mini album then.

Homemade Gifts from Friends

Here are a few gifts that I received recently from my friends. The first two come from my friend Yvette. I meet her two years at convention. She is such a talented stamper. Here is a tote bag she made me. She stamped it with Eastern Blooms and decorated it with Rhinestone Brads, Pretties and Old Olive wide grosgrain ribbon.

She sent the bag with this very pretty card made as well with the Eastern Blooms set. She decorated some of the flowers with some pretties. Added a scallop edge along both sides as well as wide grosgrain ribbon made in a beautiful bow.

The last gift comes from my friend Tracy. How cute is this box! Check out this link to see her Christmas version of this box. The box is made with our Pennant Bigz XL exclusive Sizzex die. The birthday cupcake comes from the Simple Birthday Thanks stamp set. She colored in the cherry with our Stampin' Write Markers. For sprinkles she put in eyelets. She cut the top and then the bottom she crimped and put a bow around the cupcake with grosgrain ribbon. The birthday greeting comes from Heard from the Heart stamp set. She made the streamers by curling paper strips. The box actually opens from the bottom. Very cute.

The last project comes from my friend Colleen. How beautiful is this project. So much detail. It is a stationary box. Made with the Holiday Treasures designer series paper and the Spotlight on Christmas stamp set. Click here to see the tutorial on how to make this project. I have the best friends ever. Thank you guys for all the wonderful gifts!!!!

Flight of the Butterfly

Here a quick and easy note card using the Flight of the butterfly for today's post. I stamped the butterfly in Pink Passion followed by the outline in Basic Black. The background on the Pink Passion I used the Polka Dot Background stamp set. The finishing touches were the black buttons and the strip of basic black card stock.

Petal Card

Here's a card I made for my friend Colleen. It uses the Big Shot and the Petal Card Sizzex die. I decided instead of making a making a Petal Card, I would make a mini envelope out of it and a card to go with it. I have to say by doing this, it gave me a great idea for my December holiday class. Mini gift cards and coordinating envelopes. How cute is that! Stay tuned for that one. In the mean time after I made the envelope the card was easy. I used the Patterns Pack Designer Series Paper and put it on the card along with a tiny strip of Real Red card stock. Then I stamped the greeting from the Punches Three stamp set and punched it out with the Scallop Square punch and attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. Then came the scallop edge on the card. On the inside I also put a strip of real red inside.

Color Challenge

Well I have to say this week's color challenge was not easy. I am sure my friend Colleen's ears were ringing. The colors were not speaking to me. I decided to make the smallest thing possible with this color combo. The colors are Night of Navy, Handsome Hunter and Blush Blossom. So here is my color combo using Starstruck and the On Your Birthday stamp set. I colored in the stars with my Stampin' Write Markers. I masked off the greeting and stamped on part of the greeting on top of the stars and then the other half on the bottom. I framed the bottom one with the Style Silver. The finish touch was strips of Night of Navy and Handsome Hunter.

Ahoy Matey

I had to go to a first birthday party yesterday. The little one just turned one! The theme was a pirate party. He was just too cute walking around in his little pirate costume. Here is the card I made for the occasion. I borrowed the dormant stamp set and wheel, Ahoy Matey and Matey's Map. I first rolled the wheel in Chocolate Chip on Kraft paper. Then I ripped the paper and sponged the edges. I stamped the ship on Watercolor paper and colored in with my Stampin' Write Markers. I cut the ship out and attached the ship onto the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. The final touch was the Navy Grosgrain ribbon and a strip of Chocolate Chip card stock.
