Carousel Notes Mirror

When I saw this idea, I just knew I had to case and recreate it. I don't remember where I saw this great project. How great is this home decor item made with two carousel notes from the Occasions Mini and a mirror I got in the craft store. First I attached the mirror to a carousel note with sticky strip which will be my base. Next I cut out the center of the second carousel note with our coluzzle cutting system. I then made cut out the circle frame with the coluzzle in Wild Wasabi card stock. I then attached the cut out carousel note and the frame to the front of the mirror with more sticky strip. Next, I stamped the flowers from the True Friend stamp set and cut them out. The greeting comes from the Smarty Pants stamp set. Next, I used my crop-a-dile to punch holes into the center of each of the scallops. Lastly, I attached some groovy guava double stiched ribbon.

Tart & Tangy 8 1/2 x 11 Scrapbook Page

Here are this week's color combination: Almost Amethyst, Mellow Moss and Bravo Burgundy. Well I kept thinking what stamp set could I possibly use for this color combination. I kept thinking a floral because of the mellow moss could be used for the leaves. Then it came to me that I can stamp my cherries in Bravo Burgundy. So I took my Stampin' Write Markers out and used the Mellow Moss and Bravo Burgundy to color the cherries in. Then I took my flower trio punch from the Three For You punch box and punched out two flowers that I put a silver brad through the center. I attached them to the strip of white with my Stampin' Dimensionals. Next I made a scallop border with my slit punch. Next I took my Short Order alphabet and stamped the word cousins and punched each of the letters our with my 3/4" square punch. The finishing touch was the Mellow Moss grosgrain ribbon.

Live in the moment

I was totally inspired by this month's demonstrator exclusive magazine, Stampin' Success for this project. I just love the colors in this color combination, Whisper White, Wild Wasabi, Rose Red and Certainly Celery. The magazine showcases a scrapbook page, but I wanted to capture in a framed artwork. Two summers ago, one of my little friends, Gianna, spent the every minute trying to plan the next thing we were going to do on vacation. We just kept saying to her to live in the moment. Well those words came to bite me in the butt recently when I was talking to her mom and her response to me was the same words, Live in the moment. So here I stamped those words with my taffy alphabet and my On Board Simon Upper Chipboard with White White craft ink and embossed in white embossing powder. The butterflies from the Garden Whimsy stamp set were stamped in Rose Red and cut out. The finishing touches were the Certainly Celery wide grosgrain ribbon and Rose Red buttons.

3 Cards with One Design

Here is a card template I came up with that is super easy and a great way to use up Designer Series Paper scraps as well as because of all the punching your card stock scraps. It first starts with a piece of 8 1/2 x 11 cut down the middle verticall, so you should now have a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of card stock. You then score the piece at 2 inches and then fold the rest of the white card stock under. The first thing you do is make your scallop edge with your slit punch that you attach to the flap. Each of the scallops you paper pierce with your paper piercer. Then you take a matching piece of paper and cover the rest of the Whisper White card stock. To hide where the paper meets, you tie a piece of coordinating ribbon. Then you embellish and add a greeting.

The first card is made with Purely Pomegranate card stock and double stiched ribbon. The embellishment is made with circle and our scallop punches as well as squares cut out. The greeting comes from the Define Your Life stamp set.

The next card is made with our Soft Sky Prints Designer Series Paper and double stiched ribbon. The star comes from our Nursery Necessities stamp set that I punched out with our Star punch. The scallop was was paper piereced. The greeting comes from the Full of Life stamp set.

The last card is made with our Pumpkin Pie Prints Designer Series Paper and grosgrain ribbon. The flower was stamped from the Polka Dots & Paisleys stamp set. The greeting comes from Full of Life.

Homemade Boy Birthday Card

I have to say the biggest challenge is to make a homemade boy card. There just doesn't seem to be enough images out for boys or men. So here I took the sailboat from the Nursery Necessities stamp set and colored in with my Stampin' Write Markers. I then took the greeting from Think Happy Thoughts and stamped and punched it out with my 1 1/4" circle punch and then layered onto of punched red 1 3/8" inch circle. The center of the greeting, I adhered a punched star image with my Stampin' Dimensionals. On top of the sailboats I stamped the polka dot background image from the Three For You Punch Box on the Brocade Blue card stock. The finishing touch was the wide Brocade Blue grosgrain ribbon.

12x12 Mystic Seaport Scrapbook Page

Here is scrapbook page that I worked on. I wanted to have to try to make it somewhat nautical even though I didn't have any stamp sets for the occasion. So I started with the small diamond print in the Soft Sky Prints Designer Series Paper. I covered the chipboard M from the On Board Simon Upper chipboard. Then the rest of the title was stamped with the taffy alphabet. Then I took my hodgepodge hardware and tied a piece of Bravo Burgundy grosgrain ribbon and attached it to the M. Next came the strips of white that I stamped with the image from the One of a Kind stamp set. I then stamped the same image in a circular fashion in the coluzzle cut out. The center I put my journaling inside. I also attached another piece of Hodgepode to the coluzzle images that I tied another piece of grosgrain ribbon. The last piece was the label holder with the date journaled inside.

Congratulations Denise

Well I got so busy posting my scrapbook pages that I forgot to post a card I made for my downline Denise who is celebrating her 2nd year with Stampin' Up! She is on fire with her sales. She is an inspiration to me! So here is the card I made for her made with Spring Solitude. The inspiration comes from my friend Debbie and the card she made. Such a simple but elegant homemade card. Speaking of Debbie I am so excited, we both just registered for Stampin' Up! convention this morning. I can't wait.

Now back to the card, the colors are Rose Red and Pretty in Pink. In the centers, I put Fire Circle Rhinestone Brads. The greeting comes from the Fundamental Phrases stamp set. The extra touch was putting a strip of Rose Red on the bottom of the card.

This card just happens to have so many of my favorite things in it which is just perfect because it is going to one of my favorite people. First are the stamps Always and Sweet Serendipity. The paper is Berry Bliss and the pink tafetta ribbon. Then let's not forget that pink and brown are one of my favorite color combination. The card is pretty self explanatory excet for the bird and greeting were stamped in close to cocoa and then cut out with my coluzzle. To make the scallop edge, I used my 3/4" circle punch.

This Week's Color Combination Scrapbook Page

Here is this week's color combination: Pretty in Pink, Purely Pomegranate and Old Olive. With the shades of pink I knew this would be a great color combo for a scrapbook page for Julie. She is always wearing a shade of pink. First came the F from the On Board Chipboard Upper which I covered in textured Purely Pomegranate card stock. Then I stamped the rest of the word fun with my Big Deal alphabet. Next came the rest of the title in which I stamped with the Short Order Alphabet. Next came the embellishments. I stamped the images from the Polka Dots & Petals stamp set and then I punched them out with the 1 1/4", 1, 3/4" circles. The center of the flowers I put an old olive brad. Then with my 1/4" circle, I punched Purely Pomegranate and Whisper White circles and randomly added them to the page. Two of the photos I cut out circles with my Coluzzle cutting system and mounted them on circles.

There was so many things I wanted to remember from our trip to the fair that I wanted to add some journaling, but found there was no room on the page for it. So I made a pocket to put the journaling in. I folded a piece of card stock in half and stapled it. Then I adhered the photo on top to cover the staples underneath. I did all my journaling and added some embellishments on the side of the card. The top of the journal insert, I punched the Round Tab punched, folded and stapled it to the top.

I Love Music Bookmarker

Here is a book marker I made with the retired Stampin' Up! set, I love music. I bought it so many years ago with the thought that I would use it for my concert scrapbook. Well one of these days you may see some scrapbook pages with the stamp set in the meantime I made a bookmarker. The background paper is the AuChocolat paper which I just loved when it came out. This is also retired, but it really is fabulous paper. I hope something similar comes out in the future. Hint, Hint SU! Hopefully we will see something like it in the Fall Winter Collection. I used my stampin' write marker to color in the word Music and then I put the word inside a Hodgepodge label holder. The create comes from Define Your life. Then I put a fastner around the edge and put tied some chocolate chip poly-twill ribbon to the fastner.

Family LeJardin Scrapbook Pages

Here are some pictures taken at my cousin's wedding. This is one of the best photos of my father and his siblings and me and my cousins on father's side. Then there is our photos with spouses as well. The paper I choose was the LeJardin designer series paper. The right hand side I put the paper on top of Very Vanilla and put a strip of Always Artichoke between the two. I stamped the title with the taffy alphabet. I took out the beautiful pretties and with my sponge dauber, I put Very Vanilla craft ink on them. I attached them to the page with mini glue dots. Unfortunately to keep the half back pearls onto of the pretties, I had to put crystal effects down, the glue dots kept coming up. Then I took out the very vanilla wide grosgrain ribbon and adhered it ot both pages. On the left hand side I put a label holder down. I was able to use the large oval punch to punch out the insert. On the right hand side I put down a buckle right onto of the ribbon. I adhered it to the page with mini glue dots.

School Days Scrapbook Page

These were last year's school pictures of my three favorite little ones. Since I needed to put last year's photos away to make room for this year's, I decided to scrap them. It was perfect time too since I could use our fabulous Summer Picnic designer series paper in our Occasions Mini. So the first thing I did was lay the paper down along with a strip of Old Olive towards the top. I then used the Nursery Necessities stamped the stars from that set and punched them out with the large star punch and adhered them to the page with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The great thing about this page is that it shows two different ways you can add some color to your On Board chipboard.

The S in the title comes from the On Board Simon Upper Chipboard. I dressed up the chipboard with our Summer Picnic Designer Series paper. First I used our Anywhere Glue Stick and applied the glue to the chipboard. Next, I laid the paper down on top of the letter. Next I ran my bone folder across the top of the paper so that way the glue goes into the fibers of the chipboard. Next taking the cutting mat and the hobby knife I was able to cut the S out as close to the chipboard. Whatever excess paper remained, I used the sanding blocks to sand it away.

Then old olive frame on the bottom comes from the On Board Accents Chipboard. I took my sponge daubers and ran them across the Old Olive stamp pads. I then took the color from the stamp pad and applied it to the chipboard. Two old olive brads were put in the frame as well.

The rest of the school days title I stamped with the taffy alphabet.
