Dance Scrapbook Page

I have to say this is one of my favorite pictures of my little friend Gianna. When I saw the photoI knew I couldn't wait to come up with a scrapbook page with this photo. I just love my polka dots! So I pulled out the retired Cool Carribean and the Petal & Paisleys Designer Series Paper. I covered the On Board Simon Lower chipboard with the designer paper. I then stamped the rest of the letters with my big deal alphabets. I used by cutting board and hobby knife to cut out the centers of the a and the e. The three little circles were done with my 1/2" circle punch. I got the saying the rest of the title from a scrapbooking quote book I have. I just thought it was perfect for her. dance to the music of your dreams. The rest of the title I used my short order alphabet. Lastly I did some journaling with my uni-ball Signo Gel Pen.

Happy Fall Scrapbook Page

When the Apple Cider Designer Series Paper came out in the Holiday Mini last year. I had the perfect picture to use with the paper. It was the pictures we took of Julie pumpkin picking.

I started with a textured piece of River Rock card stock. Then I put a piece of Apple Cider designer series paper down on top of the card stock. The happy greeting comes from the Happy Everything stamp set and the word Fall I stamped with the retired Letterpress Alphabet. I punched a slit on the top of the title in which I then threaded the Twill Tape through the slit and then up to the top of the page, two vintage brads keep the twill in place. I made the two pumpkins with the small oval and word window punches. I added some dimension to the pumkins by adding some ink to the sides of the ovals. Lastly, I punched a photo corner in our Wild Wasabi card stock and then two vintage brads keep the corner in place.

This Week's Color Combo in a Scrapbook Page

This week's color combo made me think of the bridesmaid dresses me and my sister wore at my brother's wedding. I wore Mellow Moss and my sister wore So Saffron. So here we are with my sister-in-law and my cousins on their wedding day. The colors for this week are So Saffron, Mellow Moss and Bravo Burgundy. I laid down a piece of So Saffron designer series paper along with a strip of Bravo Burgundy that I made faux stiching marks by just putting lines that looked like stitched marks with my uni-ball Singo Gel Pen. Then I made daisies with my cutting my punch outs with the scallop punch to make it look like a daisy and then I took my half inch circle to punch out circles to make the center of the flowers . I made leaves with my small oval punch. I punched the card stock then folded the oval in half horizontally and then cut the oval vertically. I attached the flowers and the leaves onto the page with Stampin' Dimensionals. The title was stamped with the taffy alphabet.

Berry Bliss Scrapbook Page

Here is a scrapbook page I made with mom and Julie on my niece's Christening day. Julie just captured my mom's heart the day she was born along with all of us. The title was stamped with the Best Friends alphabet. I layered strips of the Berry Bliss paper to make it look like a patchwork. From the On Board Simon Upper, I covered on of the chipboard hearts with Berry Bliss paper. I adhered it to the chipboard with anywhere glue stick. I took my bone folder and rubbed it across the paper to make sure the paper stuck to the chipboard firmly. I trimmed the excess paper with my paper snips and then used a sanding block to remove any excess paper. Lastly, a strip of chocolate chip along with 3 pretty in pink buttons finish the page.

This Week's Color Combination

Well when I first made my friend's Colleen's birthday card, I really thought this week's color combination was Eggplant Envy and Always Artichoke. Turns out it wasn't, this week's color combo is actually Eggplant Envy and Old Olive. Slightly different. Here is card with those color combos. I borrowed the Year after Year stamp set at the crop I was at last Saturday and stamped the flowers from the set on white card stock to use for a future date. I thought this would be a good time to use the stamped image. I colored the flowers in with my blender pens and the ink from my ink pads. Then I cut out the image with my coluzzle. I then used the one inch circle punch to punch cirles of eggplant envy that I layered underneath the coluzzle image to give a scallop edge. Next I laid down some Old Olive designer series paper. The greeting comes from the Warm Wishes stamp set. Lastly the eggplant envy grosgrain ribbon finish the card off. First I adhered the ribbon in between the designer paper and the white cardstock. Then I tied a bow in which I adhered to the card with a glue dot.

Birthday Gift Card Holder

Here is a gift card holder that I made for my brother for birthday. The inspiration started with the LeJardin designer series paper. I also wanted to use my chipboard letters since they go on sale next month so I can start showing you some samples on how great our chipboard is and various ways you can use it. I applied color to the chipboard with my sponge dauber and grabbing the ink from the Always Artichoke ink pad. The word Celebrate I colored in my Stampin' Write markers so I could get celebrate without the letter c since I already had that coming in from the chipboard C. The greeting comes from the Celebrate everything stamp set. Next some paper piercing and Always Artichoke buttons complete the front of the card.

Inside the card, I made a two inch little pocket, by scoring the paper and folding it up. To secure the pocket, I stapled the sides. I covered up the staples by putting some designer series paper over it. Then I dressed up a little more with a strip of Always Artichoke. The inside greeting I used the Full of Life stamp set from the Occasions mini.

Christmas Scrapbook Pages Day 3

Today is the end of the Christmas scrapbook pages. Since it is day 3, I figured I'd end with 3 scrapbook page layouts. The first one was very simple. It just happened to be the last layout I did and as can see I was losing steam as the day progressed. It is made with the Snowflake spot stamp set. Let it Snow was stamped with the Best Friends alphabet. The center of the large snowflakes, I stamped the large snowflake in Certainly Celery and punched it out with the Snow Blossom punch. I put a silver brad through the center and attached it to the large snowflakes with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The second layout was made to look like a patchwork quilt. I punched out scraps of the Dashing Designer Series paper with my 1 1/4" square punch and then arranged them in a pattern. The word Joy comes from the Love & Joy set from the Holiday mini, the Merry center of joy was stamped and then punched out with 3/4" circle punch and attached to the page with a dimensional. The finishing touches was the real red grosgrain ribbon and buttons.

Lastly, the page was made with the Holiday Trim stamp set. The colors are Wild Wasabi, Regal Rose and So Saffron, so not the typical holiday colors, but I think they work well on this page. The stars were punched with the large and small star punches, but before I punched, I dry embossed stars with my Punches Plus brass template. It's a little hard to see with the camera flash, but if you look reall close you might be able to see the dry embossing. Then the scallop edge was made with the slit punch. Lastly, some paper piercing and apricot grosgrain ribbon complete the layout.

Christmas Scrapbook Pages Day 2

Here is day two of the scrapbook pages that I worked on. The first one was made with the Dashing designer series paper. I have to say this is one of the best holiday papers we ever had. I am looking forward to what they come up for next year. The paper made me think of a candy cane. So I pulled the candy cane from the Holiday Blitz set which I mounted on punched circle and scallop circle that was paper pierced. I also used my square punches and adhered them to the bottom border. The title was stamped with the retired Whimsical alphabet set. The finishing touch was the red grosgrain ribbon.

The next page I stamped the Snowburst stamp set from the Holiday mini. I put black buttons in the center of some of the snowflakes as an embellishment. The title was stamped with Short Order alphabet. Strips of Basic Black and Bordering Blue finish the layout.

Christmas Scrapbook Pages Day 1

Here are some of the scrapbook pages I completed on Saturday. What I have done for the last couple of years is take all the holiday photo cards I get in the mail and make them into scrapbook pages. I love seeing how the kids change from year to year. Since everyone takes so much time in getting the right picture, they are usually one of the best pictures of their children. So why have them sit in a box, scrap them! So for the next couple of days, I will be posting some of the scrapbook pages I finished. You are sure to see some retired designer papers and sets. Hope the layouts inspire your creativity.

The first one was made with the Season of Joy stamp set from the past Holiday mini. I stamped the poinsettas and then cut them out and put them on the page with gold brads through the center. Joy to the World was stamped with the Letterpress alphabet. I just love the colors on this page, they are Purely Pomegranate and Wild Wasabi.

The next layout was made with the Peaceful Wishes stamp set stamped on Confetti Cream card stock. The finishing touch was the chocolate chip wide ribbon that was adhered to the bottom as a border and the knot near the greeting.

Happy Birthday Colleen

Today is my stamping buddy's birthday, Colleen. We were all at an all day scrapbooking event yesterday so we got spend the day stamping and scrapbooking. Is there anything better than that! Here is a card I made for her before she arrived yesterday. It uses the great set Unfroggetable which always makes me think of her. When it first came out I was like I don't think I need a frog set. Then I played with her set and fell in love and just had to buy it. This card is all Colleen for me, it uses one of her favorite colors, Eggplant Envy and it is done in the file folder style which I learned from her. The flowers were stamped in Basic Black and then I colored them in with my Blender Pens and the ink from the stamp pads. I did the same thing with the frog, but I cut him out when I was done and attached him to the card with dimensionals. Then with the corner rounder, I rounded the corners of the file folder. I punched out round tab punch and attached it to the card with a staple. The finishing touch was two always artichoke buttons.

Here is a picture of me with my scrapbooking buddies, we had a great day getting projects done and catching up. Looking forward to the next event. It's amazing how much you can get done while chit chatting the day away with friends.

I also put some paper piercing on the scallop edge and attached it to the tag with Stampin' Dimensionals. Next came a strip of wide grosgrain real red ribbon. Perennial Favorites Color Challenge

Here is this week's color challenge, Pumpkin Pie, Bravo Burgundy and Always Artichoke. I decided to make a scrapbook page. I stamped the leaves from the Perennial Favorites stamp set with my Stampin' Write Markers. I have to say this one of those sets I just do not use enough. Next came the greeting from the Full of Life stamp set which I also used my markers to color in, I adhered the greeting to the page with dimensionals so I can still slip a photo in when I find one to put with the page. Then I put down a strip of Always Artichoke and put Very Vanilla buttons on. Lastly I used the photo corners punch and put one in the top right hand corner.

Happy 2nd year anniversary Carol

One of my downline is celebrating her 2nd year with Stampin' Up! Here is a card I made for her anniversary. I can't believe where the time went. The card started with a piece of Pumpkin Pie designer series paper that I made a scallop edge with my slit punch. I also used my 1/8" inch handheld circle punch to make circle inside the center of each scallop. Next, I took two of the fabulous new die-cut blossoms from the Occasions mini and attached them to the card with dimensionals. Then I took the happy greeting from the It's All Good stamp set and punched it out with my 1" inch circle punch and adhered it to the top of the die-cuts. Scallop Circle Daisy

Today's card inspiration came from Stampin' Up Demonstrator Web Site's Stamper's Showcase gallery. Justina Valdez-Carruthers used the scallop circle punch and made it look like a daisy! I just love this idea. I am such a daisy fan. I just am not a fan of white ink so when we had the Decorative Daisy stamp a few catalogs back, I passed on it because I know I could never bring myself to use it as much I would have liked to because of the white ink. So when I saw Stamper's Showcase, I knew I had to case the idea for this week's color challenge. The color challenge this week is Eggplant Envy, Apricot Appeal and Certainly Celery. I made the scallop circle daisies by taking my paper snips and cutting into the circle of the scallop not all the way into the middle of the circle and not to close to each petal. I then used my 1/2 inch circle punch the centers. I attached the centers with dimensionals and I also attached the flowers to the card with dimensionals. Then a strip of the Apricot Appeal Prints Designer Series Paper that is part of the Level 1 Hostess choices came on the bottom. Some Eggplant Envy grosgrain ribbon was attached. Then I made a bow and attached with a glue dot. The greeting comes from the Think Happy Thoughts which I punched and layered with my 2 large circles. The finishing touch was some paper piercing. Thank you again Justina for the inspiration.

Matchbook Homemade Shower Card

Here is a card I made for my mom who had to go to a bridal shower. It is a matchbook style card and that you tuck the cover inside the bottom portion. I stamped the hearts from the Always stamp set in Sahara Sand and cut them out. I attached the top heart to the card with dimensionals. The Blush Blossom I stamped the canvas background on it. The greeting comes from the Fundamental Phrases stamp set which I used the small oval punch on and I also attached that with Stampin' Dimensionals. The bottom of the card, I used my Crop-a-dile to go through the two sheets of paper and threaded the white taffeta ribbon and tied the bow. Lastly some paper piercing using my mat pack was done in the top right hand corner and some half back pearls were attached.

Finally I am done!!!

Well my stamping studio is finally done! I finally got the last pieces of the mess put away today. For the past month and half, my room has been a mess. Seeing how organized it is now brings such a smile to my face. It is like an oasis. What started with replacing the 20 year old linoleum in the basement to putting tile down. At the same time, I also got a wall of closets. So the disorganization was well worth it, here is my stamping studio. As you can see Rubbermaid has been just became my new friend.

Summer Picnic, Time Well Spent and Define Your Life

The best thing about getting your projects published in the Stampin' Up! demonstrator magazine, On Stage is free stamps! For my honorable mention in the last issue, I got to pick any free set in the book, so I got Define Your Life! I couldn't wait to come up with something with it. Here I paired it up with the fabulous Summer Picnic designer series paper in the Occassions Mini. I just love this paper! I stamped the flower from the Time Well Spent stamp set. I colored it in with my Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Marker and cut it out. Next I mounted with my Stampin' Dimensionals onto a 1 3/8" circle punch and then scallop circle punch that was paper pierced.

The first sample, I made a scallop edge with my corner rounder and paper pierced. The second stample, I set eyelets and threaded white tafetta ribbon through them. The finishing touch was putting some crystal effects in the center of the flower and sprinkling some dazzling diamonds.

More Tart & Tangy

I have to say Tart & Tangy is by far my favorite stamp set in the Occasions Mini. Here is another card I made with the stamp set. The strawberry was colored in my Real Red and Garden Green Stampin' Write Markers. I layered the strawberry with the 2 large circle punches and the scallop circle punch. I paper pierced the scallop circle and then attached it to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. The border of the card, I rolled with the Lots of Dots Jumbo wheel from the Mini. The greeting comes from the Sweet Shapes stamp set. The finishing touches are Vintage Brads and Wide Grosgrain Chocolate Chip.

Baroque Motifs Homemade Card in Cameo Coral

Here is a card made with the Baroque Motifs stamp set. I have so much of the Cameo Coral card stock. I ended up ordering another package of the card stock by accident one time. Now it seems it will be around forever unless I start using it. I made the scallop edge on the bottom of the white and the cameo coral and paper pierced. Then I took the circular image from teh set and cut it out and attached it with a dimensional. Lastly, some white grosgrain ribbon finish it off.
