Spinner Card made with Build a Flower

Here is a spinner card made with the Build a Flower Accents & Elements. The flower on the card was made by first punching out a piece of Bashful Blue card stock with our 5 petal flower punch. Next I found a flower in our accents & elements that would layer nicely on top of it. The finishing touch was as the neutral button. Next came the polka dot backgrond stamp set. The greeting Friend comes from the Fundamental Phrases stamp set that I punched out with our word window punch. The notch for the spinner card was also made with our Word Window punch. Then a scallop edge was made with our slit punch. Some paper piercing in the center of each scallop was the finishing touch.

Quick Love Note with Tart & Tangy

I've been feeling a little under the weather. I just can't seem to shake this cold of mind. I will be the happiest person in the world once the spring weather finally comes and stays here in NJ. So here is a quick love ntoe made with the Tart & Tangy stamp set that is part of the Occasions Mini Catalog. The apples were stamped in Real Red and Certainly Celery. Then I cut them out with the Coluzzle. Next came a strip of the Summer Picnic designer series paper. The greeting is from our hostess exclusive stamp set Spring Solitude. The finish touch was a piece of Certainly Celery grosgrain ribbon.

Be Happy Simple Homemade Card

Everytime I come up with a card made with red and white and with flowers, I just love it. Not sure what the appeal is for me, but I always love the way it turns out. So here are the flowers from the Be Happy stamp set, stamped randomly. Then some strips of paper white paper came next with some paper piercing. Next I took the greeting Enjoy and punched it out using our square punch. I tied a piece of red gingham ribbon to a paper clip and attached it to the card.

Seriously Sassy Homemade Birthday Card

Here is a birthday card I made for my goddaughter. I can't believe she is turning 18. When did the time fly. I can still remember her first birthday party and the mess she made eating her first chocolate cake by herself.

For her card, I made it with the Seriously Sassy stamp set. I stamped the image and then with crystal effects I put some pink beads in parts of the crown. Next, I took my pretty in pink prints designer series paper part of the hostess set. I made a scallop edge with the slit punch. With my 1/8" handheld circle punch I punched a hole in the center of the scallop. Lastly some wide regal rose grosgrain ribbon with a knot attached with a mini glue dot finish the card off.

Basics Outline

Here is a card made with the great wheel Basics Outline and the Bud Basics stamp set. The colors are Bashful Blue, Barely Banana and Certainly Celery. I wheeled the outline in Chocolate Chip. I cut one of the flowers out and popped it up with a dimensional and natural button in the center. I stamped the word from the great stamp Wonderful Words which I have to admit I don't use as much any more. I am going to have to pull it out more often and start using it. The set is just too beautiful to let it sit on a shelf. Lastly, some hodgepodge hardware and ribbon finish it off.

Polka Dot & Paisleys

Here is a card to get us thinking of the wonderful warm spring weather. Hopefully it will start arriving now that the first day of Spring is behind us as well as Easter. The flower is stamped from the Polka Dot & Paisleys stamp set with my Stampin' Write Markers. Next, I used my circle punches to punch the flower out and to layer it on top of another circle. Next, I used my Spiral binder to make a spiral notebook edge. Some white grosgrain ribbon finish the card along with the thinking of you greeting that comes from the Three For You Punch Box.

This Week's Color Combo Scrapbook Page

Here is this week's color combination, Orchid Opulence, Rose Red and So Saffron. I paired it up with the hostess appreciation stamp set, Make it Count. The extra touches on the page are the Photo Corner punch withe vintage brads. The next one is the Love and Laugh image punched out with the 3/4" inch circle punch and put inside the Build a Brads. The greeting friend was punched out with the key tab punch. The last thing is a strip of apricot appeal grosgrain ribbon.

The finishing touch is a photo of me and my stamping buddies, Colleen and Tracy at the last Stampin' Up! regionals at Philadelphia. They are also my partners in crime when it comes to the color challenge each week, so make sure to check out their blogs to see their creations.

Never Ending Joy

Here is the Easter Card I made that I will be sending out this year using the Never Ending Joy stamp set. I was making this on Sunday when I got togehter wiht my stamping friends. They can tell you this was not an easy creation for me. There were several editions of this card before I came up with something I was happy. The best thing about this card is that I am able to use some of my Mellow Moss buttons. For some reason this is the color button that I never seem to have a use for. So here the tulips were stamped in Mellow Moss and Groovy Guava. The Mellow Moss background was stamped with the Canvas background and torn. The greeting comes from the A Good Egg stamp set. The finishing touch was the linen thread with a Mellow Moss button.

Easter Treat Holder

Here is a treat holder that holds 3 Hershey Nuggets inside. The directions are easy. You take a piece of cardstock 4 1/2" x 5 1/2". You score it at 1 1/2" x 3" x 4". Then fold the pieces to form a triangle. Next I stamped the polka dot background stamp on the card stock. Then I took the bunny from the Holiday Blitz stamp set and stamped it onto mailing labels and put them on Hershey Nuggets. I attached the chocolates with mini glue dots and then placed in the center of the triangle. To keep the box together, I put a few mini glue dots in place.

The outside, I stamped the word happy from the Fundamental Phrases. Then the word easter was stamped in various pastel shades with the Short Order Alphabet. Then a stamped bunny and a pink gingham bow finish the project off.

Homemade Gifts and Cards from Friends

Since it is Saturday and I have some time, I want to take a minute today to post some fabulous homemade cards and gifts I have received from my friends in the mail. I just love getting little presents like this in the mail. It makes my day!

Here is some homemade gifts from my friend Debbie. The first is a tag made with my favorite stamp set, Always. She stamped the bird on the Purely Pomegranate card stock which I just love this idea. So simple, but I would have never thought of doing that. The always greeting, stamped and layered with our circle and scallop circle punches along with some paper piercing and dimensionals. She stamped the wide chocolate chip grosgrain with the white polka dots which give it a great effect. She rounded the corners with our corner rounder and ticket corner punches.

Then there is the Valentine tealight made into a flower. She adhered the tealight to a scallop circle. Then stamped Hello Friend from Fundamental Phrases onto our small oval punches.

The next one is a peek-a-boo treat holder. Here she used our fabulous new die cut blooms from the Occasions mini. She layered them and put a fire rhinestone brad through the center. Some striped pumpkin pie grosgrain and paper piercing finish it off. Click here to read the step by step instructions on Debbie's blog.

Lastly, comes a St. Patrick's Day card from my friend, Colleen. She made it with our new fantastic St. Patty's day stamp set, Pinch Proof and the coordinating wheel, Pinch Me. The template for the card, can be found here. She embossed, she stamped and she punched. As you can see I am losing steam in typing up descriptions. Hope you enjoy my gifts as much as I have.

Birthday Whimsy and Faux Diamond Dust

Sale-a-bration is slowly coming to an end. I can't believe how time has flown. If you are interested in earning one of the 6 Sale-a-bration products, don't delay you only have a few short days left. Here is a card I made with the Sale-a-bration set, Birthday Whimsy and the Faux Diamond Dust technique. I stamped the cake and then I took my Versamark pad and covered the cake with the Versamark ink. Next, I sprinkled some Iridescent Ice and heat embossed it. Next I took a strip of our fabulous new paper from the Occasions mini, Summer Picnic and adhered it to the card. Real Red wide grosgrain ribbon, red buttons and a strip of real red card stock finish it off.

I took the card to another level and decorated the inside and made the balloons pop. I also applied the faux diamond dust technique on them and cut them out. The greeting also comes from a Sale-a-bration stamp set, Lots of Thoughts. I used my Stampin' Write markers to color in the text I wanted and then I punched it out with our 1 3/8" circle punch and layered it on top of the 2 large square punches. Lastly, to make the card pop, I folded a strip of paper that was evenly scored 4 times to and then folded to make a box. Then two sides of the box were attached to the two sides of the card. Then balloons were adhered to another side. So when you are done, the top will be the only side that is not attached to something.

One was put in the center of the greeting the second next to the image of the elephant. The greeting was layered on top of the next layer circle punch ad the scallop circle. Happiness Background Stamp

Here is a card made with the Happiness background stamp. It is one that we got at convention last summer for free and I have to say I have been trying to use it and make it grow on me. I do love the image, but it is definately out of my comfort zone on stamp sets.

Here I stamped it with Blue Bayou and then I stamped it again in Chocolate Chip. I know I could have used my Stampin' Write Markers but I wanted the image to me as crisp as possible. So the image stamped in Blue Bayou, I cut out with my Coluzzle. I then cut the strips of Chocolate Chip images and adhered them onto of the Blue Bayou larger image. I then mounted on a piece of Blue Bayou that I stamped the backroung with the Polka Dot background stamp. Lastly, I adhered a strip of Wide Chocolate Chip Grosgrain to the card. I tied a knot and attached it with a glue dot.

Holiday Blitz and Color Challenge

This week's color challenge automatically made me think of St. Patrick's Day around the corner. The colors this week are Gable Green and Green Galore. First thing I did was create the strip of Shamrocks that I stamped from the Holiday Blitz set. Next, with my Stampin' Write markers, I stamped the greeting Cheers to You from the Lots of Thoughts stamp set. I then proceed to punch it out with my 1 3/8" circle punch and mounted on top of the scallop circle punch that I paper pierced. I adhered dimensionals to the both levels when attaching into the cards. Next, the background, I stamped the polka dot background stamp set. Some white taffeta ribbon and gable green brads finish the card off. The best part of this card, I actually got to use my gable green brads!

So Much Fun Scrapbook Page

Here's a scrapbook page with my favorite little girl. The page is made with my the So Much stamp set and the Berry Bliss Designer Series Paper. The inspiration started with the paper which lead to the stamp set. The flower was stamped and cut out and a neutral button was adhered to the center with a mini glue dot. I made slits in the chocolate chip paper with our horizontal slit punch. I then proceeded to thread the wide grosgrain chocolate chip ribbon and than put pretty in pink brads. The little flowers were punched with the trio flower punch from the Three for You punch box and pretty in pink brads were put in the center. I attached the flowers to the page with our Stampin' Dimensionals. The title comes from the greeting from the set. The word fun was stamped with our best friends alphabet which I punched each of the letters individually with our 3/4" square punch and mounted on a piece of chocolate chip.

This Week's Color Challenge with Love & Happiness Rub-ons

This week's color challenge is River Rock, Chocolate Chip and Really Rust. The minute I heard the color combo it made me think of our Love & Happiness Rub-ons which come in Chocolate Chip. So here I applied the rub-ons onto the River Rock card stock for the background of the card. The scallop rub-on I punched out with the scallop circle punch. I then took the heart from the center and applied it to a piece of Really Rust card stock and punched it out with our 1" circle punch and attached to the center with our dimensionals. I paper pierced the scallops as a finishing touch.

The greeting comes from a retired Ronald McDonald stamp set, Heart & Home. I needed to create a card for my cousin who is moving out of state and I thought the Home is where the heart is would be an appropriate greeting. I attached the River Rock card stock onto the Chocolate Chip. On the chocolate chip, I stamped in Very Vanilla craft ink, All in a Row to create some faux stiching. The finishing touches were paper piercing, vintage brads and chocolate chip wide taffeta ribbon.

Altered Canister and 5x5 Art Journal

Here are instructions on how to alter a canister and 5x5 art journal. Here are all the supplies you will need to make the projects, followed by instructions to make them.

Supplies:

5x5 Art Journal
Sponge Dauber
Pretties
Stampin' Pastels
Anywhere Glue Stick
Sticky Strip
Spiral Punch
Coluzzle Cutting System
Mini Glue Dots
Making Memories collection canister
Fall Flowers Designer Series Paper
On Board Simon Upper Chipboard
Chocolate Chip Craft Stamp Pad
Chocolate Chip 8 1/2 x 11 card stock
Chocolate Chip Wide Grosgrain Ribbon
Chocolate Chip Tafetta Ribbon
Creamy Caramel Gingham Ribbon.
Bone Folder

Altered Canister:
Using the Coluzzle, cut a circle out of the Fall Flowers Designer Paper.
Next sponge Chocolate Chip Craft Ink with the sponge dauber onto the Chipboard letter and let it dry.
Then sponge color from the Stampin' Pastels with the sponge dauber to the Pretties Flower and apply a Halfback Pearl to the center with a mini glue dot.
Attach all three items to the jar with Sticky Strip to ensure they would not come off.
Tie Chocolate Chip wide grosgrain to the top of the jar.

Altered Journal:
Take a strip of Chocolate Chip card stock to put on thesprial edge. You will need to mark off where the first spiral bind is and the last to the cards tock. After you do that, you will need to cut a small slit with your paper snips so that you can make your first spiral punch. After you are done you will glue it down and it will be hardly noticable.
Glue the Fall Flowers paper and the Chocolate Chip card stock down with the Anywhere Glue Stick. Then take your bone folder and press down on the paper you just applied to the chipboard journal so that the glue gets into the creases of the chipboard. This will ensure you paper on staying on and not peeling off in time.
Apply Wide Chocolate Chip grosgrain with your monoadhesive in between the Chocolate Chip card stock and Fall Flowers paper.
Next sponge Chocolate Chip Craft Ink with your sponge dauber onto the Chipboard letter and let it dry.
Tie Chocolate Chip Ribbon and Creamy Caramel Gingham to the spiral edge of the journal.

On the bottom of the card, a strip of Real Red was adhered. Some paper piercing and red gingham ribbon finish the notecard off.

Love & Happiness Rub-Ons Homemade Gift Bag

I have to say this was one of the fastest gift bags I ever made. It started with the colored gift bags from Michaels. I then started applying the rub-ons from the Love & Happiness set. All I did was attach a halfback pearl and a white tafetta ribbon bow.

The gift card was just as easy. Same accessories except I adhered them to Pale Plum and Whisper White card stock. The side of the gift card, I made notches with my rectangle hand held punch and then tied the ribbon on.
