One more day...

Just a reminder, make sure you check out the Stampin' Up website tomorrow, the new Fall Winter collection will be available online at http://www.stampinup.com/ You are just going to love all the new fabulous products in it.

I just spent the night with my friend Colleen and Tracy looking over the new catalog and making our wish lists and planning out what we will be ordering tomorrow. We also shared what projects we have made in the last month since we last saw each other. Here's a great birthday invitation that Colleen made for her little guys first birthday. I just love it.

Today's sneak peak, we are getting a large calendar stamp! Great to use with our journals.

Groovy Guava

I am so loving the new color, Groovy Guava. It was the first chance I got to play with the new color. Here is card sample using Bud Basics and the Basics Outline Jumbo Wheel.

That is today's new catalog sneak peak. Bud Basics and the Basics Outline Jumbo Wheel were first available in the 2006 Summer Mini Catalog. That is the only one from the 2006 Summer Mini Catalog that made into the Fall Winter Collection. But you never know it may still make it, we have to wait until January to see what is in store for the next catalog. Enjoy!

Out with the Old, In with the New

Well it's that time of year, that old favorites are leaving and new products and stamps are on their way. Here are two cards I had to make that are a combination of retiring, current and new products.

The first card was for a bridal shower that I am attending. It uses one of my old time favorites, Tag Time, that I received for free when I signed up to be a demonstrator many moons ago.

The paper is from the great Prints Designer Series Paper that is being released in the new Fall Winter Collection. That is today's new catalog sneak peak: The paper will be double sided and will be available in 16 of the most popular colors. There will be 12 sheets total, 2 pages of each of the double sided designs. The colors are: Lovely Lilac, Almost Amethyst, Soft Sky, Tempting Turquoise, Brillant Blue, Blue Bayou, Always Artichoke, Old Olive, Certainly Celery, River Rock, So Saffron, Close to Cocoa, Pumpkin Pie, Groovy Guava and Rose Red.

The Sympathy card uses a combination of old, current and retiring. The saying With Sympathy is from our Brighter Tommorrow stamp set that is retiring. The Serene Sunflower is not retiring and will be available in the new catalog. Lastly, the So Saffron background paper is also part of our Prints Designer Series Paper.

It is finally here.

It's been a long day. Murphy's Law would be that my copy of the new Fall Winter Collection would come in and I would be too busy to sit and relax and just thumb through it in my leisure. I am finally getting to it now. 8 hours later since it was delivered!

I have to say it was well worth the wait. If I can name one thing at the moment that I am loving about the new catalog is the beautiful Stampin' Around wheels that are in the new catalog. I have about 6 on my wish list! Jumbo and standard size. That is my new catalog sneak peak of the day. Wonderful swirls, geometric shapes, Western. There is even one that makes lines that we use to practice our letters on. This is just great for your school day scrapbooks!

Today's card sample is made with Perfect Presentation stamp set.

Like Christmas Morning

Waiting for the Stampin' Up catalog is a lot like Christmas morning as a child. The wonder, the suspense, the waiting and the thrill when it finally arrives.

I am still waiting for the UPS to deliver my long awaited catalogs. I don't think I was this excited when I was kid. You should have seen me checking every few seconds to see if they arrived!

Since I feel like a child on Christmas morning, I decided to play with Perfect Presentation, a hostess exclusive stamp set that will be available in the new Fall Winter Collection. It is a gift card holder made with Bravo Burgundy, Very Vanilla and Brushed Gold Cardstock. Enjoy!

Today's New Catalog Sneak Peak: "Build a brad" - punch half inch circle of designer paper or stamp custom image to build your own brad. Two choices...antique brass or pewter. Brad base and acrylic bubble.

New Catalog on it's Way

On Friday, we received a report that a demonstrator received their new 07 Fall Winter Collection. Once the post went up that she received the catalog, there were 500 demonstators all glued to their computer screens reading and trying to pick up any little tidbit she provided us with what is in the new catalog. :)

So here is the first tidbit that was provided by Aimee. Check back daily for more tidbits...

Here are the grosgrain ribbons that are *really* retiring that appear on the retiring accessories list. The others are just being repackaged and renamed to be the SU names we are all familar with.

Taupe
Chocolate
Tangerine
Maize
Apple Green
Hunter
Bluebird
French Blue
Light Orchid
Rose

And these are the ribbons that are still available (with current name in parenthesis):
Basic Black (black)
Whisper White (white)
Very Vanilla (cream)
More Mustard (mustard)
Apricot Appeal (apricot)
Pretty in Pink (light pink)
Real Red (red)
Bravo Burgundy (burgundy)
Elegant Eggplant (eggplant)
Night of Navy (navy)
Tempting Turquoise (turquoise)
Certainly Celery (celery)
Mellow Moss (spring moss)

The silver, copper and gold cord are no longer available.

Another shocker is that the wide and the narrow organdy will no longer be available.

Here is a card with the Baroque Motifs stamp set with the gold cord. I am a little upset to see so many wonderful ribbons and cords leaving, but I can't wait to see the new taffeta ribbon as well as few other ribbons that I read about.

Doodle This

Here is a 6x6 double page spread that my friend, Colleen, made. It is using the Doodle This and the Doodle Alphabet from the Spring Mini catalog. This is another set I hope makes it into the catalog. I love all the samples I have seen with this set. She added some additional doodle effects by using the white gel pen.

Happy 1st day of Summer!

Here is a gorgeous scrapbook page my friend Tracy made that I received at a 6x6 page swap. All I had to do was add the photo.

The page uses the great summer set, Sparkling Summer!
The shells were stamped onto of the vellum and attached with eyelets. The great background was made with the paper piecing punch.
Sparkling Summer along with the paper piecing punch is retiring. The list of retiring accessories just came out. To see the most up to date list of retiring accessories, click here.

Inkredible Meeting

Last night, I had a Stampin' Up meeting and it was Inkredible! Actually it's a play on words, the group I belong to is the Inkredible Impressions, but it actually was an incredible meeting. We have meetings once a month where we catch up, share ideas and hold the best card swaps ever. I learned so many great ideas.

Here are two that my friends Tracy and Colleen created. Colleen used the Faux Metal technique on the Cherish card. Both cards feature the new InColors! The only bad thing was the downpour of rain when we left the meeting. It was pitch dark so we could not see and with the downpour of rain. We couldn't run to our cars since we had no idea where anything was. So it was probably the first time we were actually thankful when lighting would happen since it shed some light we were walking.

Petals Wheel

I hope the Petals wheel makes into the new catalog. I just absolutely love it. It has such fun images on it. The best part that there is so many stamp sets in the Spring Mini catalog that coordinate with it as well as Petals & Paisleys paper. In the samples below, I just used the wheel by itself. I started out by making the card and then I had some paper left over when I rolled the wheel, that I was able to make the coordinating tag. On the Card, I used Thanks So Much from the Hostess Exclusive Riveting stamp set. On the Tag, the Enjoy came from the Be Happy stamp set.

Colors: Pretty in Pink

Card Stock: Pretty in Pink, Confetti White

Accessories: Silver Brad, Stampin Dimensionals

Tools: 1 3/8" , 1 1/4", 1/2 inch circle punches, 1 3/8" square punch, Crafter's Tool Kit

Happy Father's Day!

Today on Father's day, I want to share with a scrapbook page I made recently for my grandfather's 93rd birthday celebration. It started with me taking photos at the holidays and birthdays to remember the day and to see how the group changed from year to year. At first I just posted the pictures on the fridge, but then I started to see some wear and tear on the photos, so I started a scrapbook for him and to share with my family.

The flower is from last year's Sell-a-bration stamp set, Best Blossoms. I used Coluzzle cutting system to cut the circles around the flowers. The designer series paper that I used on the page is Recollections.

I was just downloading photos from my recent vacation to the Outerbanks. While on vacation, I was working on swaps for the upcoming Stampin' Up convention. Well my little niece, Julie wanted to play with my toys. So here she is sitting at the table playing. I think we have a future stamper!

One of the perks of being a Stampin' Up demonstrator is you get to preorder items before they come out. I just preorder a couple of items from the Fall-Winter Preview 2007 catalog. The Fall-Winter Preview catalog is 11 pages showcasing stamp sets, accessories, card stock and stamp pads that will be available in the new Fall-Winter Collection that will be available on July 1st. There is new chipboard called On Board Blossoms & Basics. Rhinestone brads available in circle and squares.
There is a great new punch box that has a Trio Flower Punch, 9 piece stamp set and 3 Stampin' Spots. Stop by one of my upcoming events and you'll be able to see the preview brochure with all the new items in person.

One of the new stamp sets I preordered was Baroque Motifs. Here is a 6x6 scrapbook page that I made for a swap. I stamped the image with White Staz-On on Vellum. I used my Spring Bouquet Flower punch to punch out the flowers.

Bubbles Scrapbook Page

My bubbles scrapbook page was inspired by little niece, Julie and the first time she made bubbles on her own. She was so excited she was able to do all by herself that she would not let anyone else help her. I feel in love with the photo and how I was able to capture the wonder and excitement of her first “I can do it myself” bubble experience.

The techniques that I used to make this scrapbook page were as follows: I stamped my title, with the Big Deal alphabet stamp set. Then using the Coluzzle Cutting System, I cut out the letters out. Next I took a sponge dauber and ran it across my stamp pad and applied it to the chipboard accent until it was thoroughly colored. Then, I attached the brads to the chipboard.

The color Cool Carribean and the Petal & Paisleys Designer Series Paper will not be available after June 30th.

Card Stock: Pretty in Pink, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Petals & Paisleys
Classic Stampin' Pads: Certainly Celery, Cool Caribbean, Pretty in Pink
Accessories: On Board Chipboard, Soft Subtles Brads
Tools: Sponge Daubers, Coluzzle Cutting System

Welcome!

With so much happening in the Stampin' Up world, I decided to start a blog so I can provide with the latest Stampin' news and what projects I was working on. So to start off my blog, I am going to post my Stampin' Up career stamping project accomplishments.

First I'll start with my artwork that has been published on the Stampin' Up website. Everyday on the Stampin' Up demonstrator website they choose 3-4 cards from demonstrators that were submitted to the Stampin' Up main office for contests, etc. So every morning, I check the website for new information and to check the cards that make it on Stamper's Showcase for great card and project ideas. I can't tell you what a thrill to be chosen out of thousands and thousands of cards submitted by 40,000 demonstrators!

Here the cards that have been on Stamper's Showcase:
Post edited 11/26/2008 to display all Stamper Showcase projects that have been posted on the Stampin' Up website to date.
